Egg Paratha ( Egg Bread )

Egg Paratha. A traditional bread recipe from India. The Indian bread called Roti, usually served with curries or cooked vegetable. Using wheat flour as a base ingredients and cooked on a flat or slightly concave iron griddle ( Tawa ). This Indian Food type is a staple accompaniement to other food ( such as, Spread with butter / Ghee ).


Ingrediets :


2 cups of Wheat Flour

4 whole Eggs

2 medium Onions, chopped

1 Capsicum ( Bell Pepper ), chopped

1 Tomato, chopped

A few strands of Fresh Coriander / Cilantro Leaves ( Hara Dhania ), chopped

1 teaspoonful Red Chilli Powder ( Pisi Lal Mirch )

Salt, to taste

2 teaspoonful cooking Oil

Clarified Butter ( Ghee ) or Butter ( for preparing dough and frying parathas )



Method :


Heat oil in a saucepan

Add the chopped onions and saute onions on medium heat, till golden brown and translucent.

Add the tomatoes and capsicum, saute for a few minutes

Add salt, red chilli powder, and eggs, Mix tell well combined

Saute well till eggs are well done

Add the coriander/cilantro leaves, Stir

turn off heat,d set aside


For the Dough :


Add water to the wheat, mix wel

Knead well into a soft dough

Add 2 tablespoonful clarified butter or butter to the dough and knead some more

Make small balls out of the complete dough

Roll each ball into a round roti.


Lay out one roti on the pan ( flat iron gridle ), cover it with the egg mixture and cover it with another roti. (so basically stuff egg mixture in between two rotis)

Roll it a little and fry both sides well in clarified butter or butter


Serve
