Steak with Caramelised Onion

If you are American, you certainly can not be separated from this type of cuisine, Steak. This Recipes cooking of Food is the most common main dish for daily. This Type of food based on meat, combined with many different types of vegetables and ingredients that vary.

Here's a Steak Recipe of Steak with Caramelised Onion

Ingredients :

3 onions, finely sliced
2 tablespoonful olive oil
2 tablespoonful balsamic vinegar
sea salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoonful grain mustard
2 tablespoonful good mayonnaise
iceberg lettuce, shredded
4 thin minute steaks, about 120g
4 thick slices sourdough bread


Method :

Preheat the oven to 180C. Put the onions in a foil - lined baking tray and toss with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper. Bake for about 30 minutes till caramelised, tossing occasionally.

Mix the mustard and mayonnaise. Finely shred the lettuce.

Bash the steaks flat, between two sheets of cling-film. Lightly brush with olive oil, season well, and sear in a hot saucepan for about 1 minute, pressing down with an egg flip, then turn once and cook for about 1 minute (or longer, depending on the size).

Grill or toast the bread and spread with the mustard mayo. Put the top with a small handful of lettuce, the steak and the caramelised onions and drizzle with any pan juices.

Olive and Pesto Burger

Olive and Pesto Burger

Ingredients :


500gr lean beef, minced
2 tablespoonful water
1/3 cup basil pesto
1/2 cup pimento-stuffed green olives, chopped
Rocket leaves
Cubed Avocado
Pimento olives
Spring onion, to serve


Method :

Combine the beef mince, water, pesto and olives. Mix lightly, shape into 4 patties
Preheat the barbecue or saucepan to moderately high heat

Brush the patties with oil, put them on the barbecue or saucepan, lower the heat to medium.
Cook for about 6 - 7 minutes each side or till thoroughly cooked

Turn them once only
Set aside. Serve with the rocket and the combined avocado, olives and spring onion

Black-Eyed Bean Fritters with Pepper Sauce

Beans are not favourite ingredient for some people. But with the right combination with another ingredients it can give you a delicious taste for your snack. This recipe originally from African American people. They believe that this snack are thought to bring good luck when eaten in a lot amounts on New Year's Day. So we usually find this snack to celebrate new year.


Ingredients :


1 cupful dry black-eyed bean, sorted out, soaked night long,

drained, and rinsed
1/2 medium onion, diced
1/2 cup raw peanuts
1 teaspoonful minced thyme
1/4 teaspoonful cayenne
1 tablespoonful apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoonful water
1 teaspoonful coarse sea salt
1/2 cup finely chopped green black pepper
1 tablespoonful cornmeal
5 cups coconut oil


method :

Get rid of the skins from the beans by adding them together to a large bowl, Fulfilling the bowl with water, shaking the beans, and fishing out the skins that float to the top of the water with a fine mesh strainer. Rinse beans well.

In a food processor fitted with a metal blade, mix the beans, onion, peanuts, thyme, cayenne, vinegar, water, and salt and pulse until completely smooth.
Transfer to a medium bowl, cover it, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 200° F.

Take away the batter from the refrigerator, add the black pepper and cornmeal, and beat with a wooden spoon for 2 minutes.
In a medium-size saucepan over high heat, heat the coconut oil until hot but not smoking, about 5 minutes.
Lower the oil to medium high, and in batches of 5, spoon the batter into the oil, 1 tablespoonful at a time. Fry, stirring around, until golden brown, about 2 minutes. If needed, adjust the temperature to assure that the fritters do not cook too quickly.

Transfer the fritters to a paper towel–lined plate to dry.
Transfer the drained fritters to a baking sheet and put in the oven to keep warm

Serve hot with Hot Pepper Sauce

American Caviare with Crispy Yukon Gold Potato Pancakes

Pancake is a common food for american people. Usaually for breakfast. With a little creativity we can put many different ingredients to get various taste of pancakes. Here's a potato pancake recipe easily made and certainly very tasty, and suitable as an appetizer or snack for your family.


Ingredients :

1 pound Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled
1 egg
2 tablespoonful flour
1 teaspoonful fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoonful salt
1/4 teaspoonful base black pepper

Vegetable oil ( for frying )

1/4 cup crème fraîche*
1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
2 ounces American sturgeon caviar

*Available at some supermarkets and at specialty groceries stores.


Method :

Using largest holes on box grater, shred potatoes into large bowl.

Mix in egg, flour, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
Transfer potato mixture to strainer set over same bowl.
Add plenty oil to heavy medium frying pan to reach depth of 1/4 inch.

Heat oil over medium-high heat.
Working in batches, drop batter by rounded tablespoonfuls into hot oil,
flattening with back of spoon to form 2- to 3-inch-diameter 1/4-inch-thick pancakes.

Fry till golden brown, about 4 minutes per side.
Transfer pancakes to paper towels to drain.

Top pancakes with crème fraîche, red onion, and caviare;
